I felt it was an extremely slow process which started in October 2018 - however the insurance company agreed to my claim & I have received my reimbursement check by Co-ordinated Benefit Plans on behalf of Nationwide Mutual.
Once the policy was issued I felt that it was a good choice.
After being without my luggage for over 24 hours I called to get some assistance.
I filed a complaint/ claim - case number # 1814685.
I spoke with John who was very pleasant. However, when I called back the end of the next day for an update I learned his only involvement was to call the airport and ask them to call me directly when they learned the whereabouts of my luggage.
We landed Saturday afternoon and on Sunday evening we were told that my luggage had arrived to the hotel. The issue when I called for assistance was that the incorrect luggage was delivered.

I requested a claim, was sent the paperwork, completed the paperwork, and have heard nothing from nationwide, yet. I was unable to go on my trip because of injury.

When I called customer service to inquire about filing a claim for lost/stolen glasses on my flight, the customer service representative said “if your glasses were stolen from your baggage, you can file a claim. But first you must file a claim with the airlines which is a lengthy process and then you will file a claim with us- a very lengthy process and the claim will most likely be denied.” At this point, I lost complete faith in this company and realized that my insurance policy was a complete waste of money. I’d never buy travel insurance again with this provider!
File a claim two weeks ago, still have not heard from them.
just like the efficient way I can find a bunch of policies all at once quickly and compare apples to apples. I dont have time to waste. And I get complete documentation emailed to me with all the pertinent information I need while away. Also had a slight problem that I needed to deal with the insurance company and it was handled easily and quickly (not claim related)
