Canceling a trip due to fear of contracting Ebola is not a covered reason under any travel insurance policy. If you want to cancel your trip because you are worried about the Ebola outbreak, we recommend purchasing a policy with the Cancel for Any Reason upgrade.

In order to be eligible for Cancel for Any Reason, you must purchase your policy within 30 days of your first trip deposit date. Additionally, you must insure 100% of your trip cost and cancel your trip at least 2-3 days before your departure. Cancel for Any Reason increases the premium by about 40% and provides up to 75% reimbursement of your trip cost.
